Manage Volunteer Centers

This article will describe how to add or remove projects and organizations to your Volunteer Center (VC) in JustServe. A VC is just a page with a collection from other project submitters or organizations. Such as for a specific disaster like the Los Angeles Fires or Hurricane Helene and Milton. It’s an organization page that has been converted to a VC.

If you need your organization page to be a VC, just submit a request in the Help Center. If you’d like a banner to appear for a certain area to point people to your VC, also just submit a request in the Help Center. (Please include what area it should appear and what the title of the banner should be.) 

To add a project to your VC (or you can download this PDF to see screenshots): 

1. Under Manage Organizations, find the VC needed.
2. Under Options, click the 3 dots. Then click Edit Organization Page.
3. Scroll down to the left navigation menu, you’ll see Organizations, Projects, etc.
4. Click on Projects.
5. Click on blue +Edit Pages button.
6. Click blue +Add single project button.
7. In the Search field, type in the name of the project you want to add. Then click blue Look Up button. In the drop-down menu that appears, click the needed project. Then click blue Add button.
8. Click Save Changes under left navigation menu.
9. Verify your change by navigating to the VC and refreshing the page.

To remove a project from your VC:

1. Under Manage Organizations, find the VC needed.
2. Under Options, click the 3 dots. Then click Edit Organization Page.
3. Scroll down to the left navigation menu, you’ll see Organizations, Projects, etc.
4. Click on Projects.
5. Click on blue +Edit Pages button.
6. Look for the tile for the project you want to remove. Click the circled red X on the top right of the tile.
7. Click Save Changes under left navigation menu.
8. Verify your change by navigating to the VC and refreshing the page.

To add an organization to your VC:

1. Under Manage Organizations, find the organization needed.
2. Click on the organization name to open its page.
3. Click the orange Endorse button on the right.
4. Under Manage Endorsements, click the drop-down arrow.
5. Find the VC needed and click to select it.
6. Under Adding an Organization Endorsement, click the blue Endorse button.
7. Verify your work by navigating to the VC and refreshing the page.

To remove an organization from your VC.

1. Under Manage Organizations, find the VC needed.
2. Under Options, click the 3 dots. Then click Edit Organization Page.
3. Under the org address, click the blue Manage Endorsements button.
4. Under Organizations, click Remove Endorsement for that org.
5. Verify your work by navigating to the VC and refreshing the page.
